Fun & Fundraising at St Peter’s Fete

Fun & Fundraising at St Peter’s Fete

19th June saw a RARE AND UNIQUE WAPPING EVENT that attracts a complete mix of Wappingites.

St Peter’s School Fete brings Wapping together across generations and provides entertainment, fun and fundraising.

Great support by pupils, staff and residents as well as MP Jim Fitzpatrick, local campaigner Geoff Juden and Father Jones to name a few.

A great afternoon and I really enjoyed the opportunity to meet such a wide group of Wappingites of every age.

I also learnt from Sue that even if you’ve lived in Wapping for 40+ years

You’re not considered a Wappingite unless you were born here!

The 20p entrance fee was minimal but I managed to came away with an assortment of interesting things, far too many sweets and £5 poorer having signed up for a “Stop the Rot!” walk/run in September to help save one of Wapping’s Grade 1 listed landmark buildings.

More of this and ways you can help Wapping “Stop the Rot!” in coming weeks with Christine who is helping co-ordinate fundraising in Wapping.

    Great fete and write up!

I only stopped off briefly as was passing and noticed it was on but picked up some great cakes and looked like everyone was having a great time fund raising despite the less than summer weather.

I meant to click 5 stars but clicked 3 by mistake – can you change it?
