“Fill your thermos flasks, put on an extra pair of socks and come on down to enjoy the games!”, says Ben Wiggins from Wapping Hockey Club.

If you find yourself at a loose end and want to watch some top flight hockey then Wapping Hockey Club have your Saturday afternoon sorted.

Tomorrow, Saturday 11th February the two top teams from the Mens section of Wapping Hockey Club will be playing from 1pm in the shadows of the Olympic Park in East London.

Wapping to take on East London rivals

The Men’s 2nd Team take on local rivals East London at 1pm this Saturday 11th – always a big game for both clubs and Wapping will be looking to do the double on East London after we watched them storm to victory earlier this season [view article].

Whether you’re a hockey fan or just want to check out one of the sports that Team GB have real chance to get Gold medals this summer – come along to Mile End Stadium tomorrow, Saturday 11th February.

After that game at 2:30pm Wapping’s top Men’s team host Dareham, a huge game for Wapping in the Premier A Division of the Country’s East League. Wapping will be speaking revenge after losing one nil away to Dareham back at the end of October.

Entry is free and the Mile End Stadium facilities include food and toilet facilities.
