Tower Hamlets Foodbank are collecting donations of non perishable food outside Wapping’s local Waitrose – the St Katharine Docks branch this weekend.
Foodbank is a national charitable initiative that collects surplus non-perishable food, then redistributes it in packs to local families most in need of it.
The highest levels of child poverty in the whole of the UK are right on our doorstep in E1 where many families struggle to put food on the table and are living below the poverty line.
