Charity jumble sale at Glamis Hall on 9th November

A fundraising jumble sale will take place at Glamis Hall on the corner of Cable Street from 11am on Saturday 9th November.

Jewellery, toys, books, DVDs, games, bric a brac, art, clothes, refreshments, tombola and children’s activities will all be up for grabs.

Entry costs just 20p for adults and children get in for free.

Any donations can be taken to Glamis Hall on Friday afternoons, or contact Toni Davey on toni-fidos@live.co.uk to make alternative arrangements.

All proceeds from the jumble sale will donated and shared between two charities supported by local residents: Fidos and Lida Olbia.

Fidos is run entirely by volunteers and rescues dogs from death row in the pounds across the UK and tries to find them loving and forever homes after vaccinating, chipping and neutering them.

Visit www.fidos.org.uk for more information or to get involved.

Lida Olbia is an animal rescue charity that runs the “Our Smaller Brethren” shelter (Rifugio) on the Italian Island of Sardinia and is run by a team of dedicated volunteers that work day and night to save stray animals from the dangers of living on the streets. Lida Olbia focuses not just on the care of stray animals but more, crucially, on neutering projects and applies a strictly non-destruction policy – no animal is turned down and no animal is put to sleep because they have too many.

Visit Lida Olbia on Facebook for more information or to get involved.
