So... "What's In Wapping?"
This is what we hope to answer when the site is launched.

Living or working in Wapping, how often have you spent an hour travelling across London for something wondering if you could get what you needed locally? And those emergency situations when you need information fast, but a Google search didn't find you the answer? Equally important is how to enjoy Wapping and find out more about its incredible history.
Visiting Wapping for a day, an evening or a month, how do you make the most of your time here? We'll bring you a local guide from Wapping's residents and workers telling you the hidden attractions the tourist guides don't know about. Over time, we'll bring you everything - the "don't miss", the good, the bad and the ugly on everything from pubs, restaurants and shops to walks, sports and history.
Charity and Community projects are important to us at WIW. We aim to raise awareness and help promote them to residents, workers and visitors alike.
Want to read a book by a Local Author?
(Available soon) A TRUE LONDONER by Danny Anthony tells a touching story and fascinating pre-war insite. Danny still works in Dundee Court, Wapping.
David Exley's book From Wapping to Canary Wharf: The Journey of a Lifetime tells a local Wapping boy's journey from poverty to middle class comfort and is a great read, especially for those familiar with the area.
Suggestions and Contributions
Although we live in Wapping, our lives and experiences are of course all different! We'd really appreciate a minute or two of your time to tell us what you'd most like to see on this site, or if you have any material you'd like featured.
We're interested in anything of local relevance or interest, particularly new facilities, businesses, charities or community projects that need a helping hand to promote themselves.
Many thanks,
What's In Wapping (WIW)
